Goal

Each participant in the seminar "Embedded Circuits and Detectors" will work out a topic independently (supervised by the responsible staff member) and present it in the group. Already known and solved scientific-technical problems will be presented in an understandable way. In the discussion that takes place after each presentation, the technical aspects as well as the presentation style and elaboration are addressed and analyzed.
In addition to the elaboration and development of a subject area new to the students, the seminar offers the students the opportunity to learn or consolidate lecture and presentation techniques.

Content

Before the beginning of the semester, topics from the institute's main research areas, e.g. "Detectors" and "Embedded Circuits", are assigned to the participants, who then work on them independently. The participants prepare a written paper on their topic and present the result of their work in the seminar with a presentation (slides or beamer).

Realization

At the beginning of the respective semester a preliminary discussion takes place. During this meeting, the goals of the seminar are explained, the topics are announced, selected by the participants in consultation with the responsible staff member of the institute, and the dates for the seminar presentations are set.
